Recent Report: Gulf Shore Condominium Sales in March Boost 39% from Preceding Year

Fairhope, AL -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/04/2015 -- According to the latest report brought on by the Junonia Beach Resort, a leading condominium project in Orange beach states that Baldwin Region condominium sales, including condominiums across the Gulf Coastline, totaled 150 units this March 2015. However, the Condo sales increase by 38.9 percent in the same period annually earlier. Year-to date condo sales through March are 10.8% above 2014.

The March condominium sales were 36 units above the ACRE's monthly forecast. Whereas the ACRE's year-to-date condo sales forecast through March estimated 284 closed dealings, but the actual sales were 359 units that exhibits a good cumulative difference of 26.4 percent.

The report also shows that the Orange beach and Gulf shores condominium stock equaled 1,001 units, a loss of 6.4% from March 2014. The stock elevated by 2 units or 0.2% in the past month. This direction is in line with past data showing that March stock on average (2010-2014) increases in the month of Feb by 0.6%. Condominium stock throughout the month of March peaked at 3,210 units in 2007. The stock is now down 68.8% from the peak. In March, the months of condominium supply stand at 6.7 months, a loss of 32.6 percentage from 9.9 months last March along with a cry from March 2006 when it had been 60.9 months of supply.

Whereas the demand of Condominium sales improved 24.0% from last month. This trend is in line with seasonal purchasing patterns and past data trends which reflect March condominium sales, on average (2010-2014), boost in the month of February by 26.6 percent.

Alabama Residential Sales in March 2015 Rise 19 Percent; 80% of Local Markets Develop from Last Year

Mobile, AL -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/04/2015 -- Alabama residential property sales adding up 4,289 housing units in March 2015 reflect a rise of 19.3% growth than the last year. Revenue for the month are 25.2% above the five-year plan March average sales (2010-2014) of 3,426 housing Units. Year-to date real estate sales through March are up 13.0% from 2014.

According to forecast of Sam Winter & Company, Inc., an Alabama based real estate firm, "March real estate sales were 219 units or 5.4% above our monthly forecast. The year-to date housing sales forecast from ACRE through March estimated 10,101 dealings while the real sales were 10,305 units, a 2.0% positive collective difference."

March residential property sales improved 33.4 percent as compared to last month. This path is in line with historic state wide data showing that march real estate sales on average (2010-2014) boost in the month of Feb by 30.0%. This pattern is in line with sentiment indicated by business experts within the 2015 Q2 ARECI (AlabamaReal Estate Confidence Index). The average DOM (Days on Market) till a list sold was 162 times, 2.6% slower-than this past year. Nationally, March sales were 10.4% above the same time this past year.
